We have spaces in our excellent Brook Nursery- and are expanding to meet demand! Now is a great time to join the Nursery or put your child’s name down for the future – we are already taking bookings for January 2025 and beyond so don’t miss out.

Here at The Brook Nursery we accept children from the age of 2 and offer local authority (NEF) funded places up to 30 hours per week. There is also the option of your children attending the Before School Club and the Wrap Around Care (WAC) After School Club, which is staffed by our excellent Nursery team.
We would love the opportunity to introduce ourselves and to show you our fabulous Nursery with its access to the school grounds, significant play areas and Forest School- which is amazing!

Our delightful team are led by Mrs Jo Barron who is also part of the Senior Leadership Team of The River School. Each team member brings their gifts and talents to the children to help them thrive in the early stages of their lives in a loving, God-centred environment. It is a privilege to see them grow and develop!
EYFS
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
The EYFS sets out Early Learning Goals (ELG’s) to support the whole child; this covers communication and language, physical development and everything in between.
Forest School
Time in the outdoors is of high importance for fun and building resilience for our little ones.
We have two Forest School sessions a week along with plenty of time spent in our outdoor play area.
Children experience all the seasons in our grounds, from snowy winter through to the glorious warmth of summer.
School Community
The Brook Nursery is part of the wider River School community. Children have the fantastic opportunity to complete their school education all the way up to age 16. In the summer term we facilitate transition sessions giving children the confidence to move easily into Reception Class.
Some of the current Year 11 cohort started with us in the Brook Nursery 13 years ago! Doesn’t time fly.
