Passing the baton

Three years ago, three pupils set up a prayer WhatsApp, praying for their friends and for the school. From this a Christian Union was birthed which has grown and prospered. Last week, Liz and Dave Campbell from Fusion, who help facilitate the CU, bought chips and cake and presented pocket Bibles to our Year 11 CU members (including two of the original prayer warriors) for them to carry into college when they leave us this summer. We asked Year 9 pupils who would like to take on the leadership of the CU going forward, as Year 11 pupils leave. Four of our young men stood to take on the baton and were prayed in by the current pupil leaders.

We love to see God moving in the lives of our pupils and seeing them step up and take ownership of their faith through the CU.

Recently we have also heard that one of our past pupils and founders of our CU, is now launching a Christian Union in their college, continuing to spread the word and provide a place of community for their peers.
