Police Cadets: Career Pathways

In January we had a visit from PC Kelvin and PCSO Steve.

Kelvin and Steve introduced Year 7, 8 and 9 senior pupils to the police cadets programme, which is free to join and offers great skill, and personal development, opportunities. Pupils also learnt about law and order. Some pupils were surprised to learn they are legally responsible from the age of 10 for their actions!

After their visit we spoke to Ben; he said he has been inspired to speak to his Grandad about his career in the police. He also said he had found it interesting learning about some of the differences between policing in the UK and the USA, such as a greater focus on de-escalation being used by UK Police forces.
