We do not offer school dinners, pupils bring packed lunches. This can be sandwiches, pasta, leftovers and any variety of options.
Primary children also bring fruit for their daily breaktime snack.
We are a nut free school.

Our pupils travel to school in a variety of ways. This includes walking, cycling and parent drop off. Several pupils also use the public bus services that stop & pick-up near the school.

Yes.
Before School/Breakfast Club starts at 7.45am each day and our After School Club operates until 5.30pm.

Yes, up to Year 9.

Yes. Any enquiries received in June or July may not be able to be processed until the start of the following academic year. Any applications received during the final week of term or during the summer holidays may not be reviewed until September.
NB – As an independent school we break for the summer earlier than state schools. Please see our Term Dates.

We do not select or exclude pupils on the basis of their academic ability, their church affiliation or the socio-economic background of their families. Further details about our Admissions Procedure can be found on our Admissions Policy.

Pupils at the River School do not take SATs. If you would like to find out more about how we monitor progress, please contact us.
