Careers, community education and cautions (joke ones!)
Last week we were visited by two of the local community PCSO’s from West Mercia Police force. They introduced pupils from Reception Class up to Year 9 to some of the work they do in the community, with a focus on careers for the older ones. Several former pupils have gone on to join the police force, with another currently in their first year of training for Uniformed Protective Services at Hartpury College.
During the visit our pupils got to try on the uniform, sit in the van, set off the sirens and a few eagerly volunteered to be mock arrested.
While these visits are a lot of fun, the PCSO’s are also able to impart helpful information to keep our young people safe both and online and in our community.

*No children were harmed or arrested, and where seen in handcuffs it was at their own request!*
